Well, the day has arrived. We've moved from where we were to where we are. On June 29th 2009, AB 5 was "Approved" by the Governor and Chaptered by the Secretary of State (SOS).What does that mean? According to the California SOS web site, "The Secretary of State assigns an Assembly or Senate bill (bill) a number
known as the chapter number; when the Governor approves, signs, dates, and
deposits the bill with the Secretary of State. This copy is the official record
and law of the State."
Here's the official roll. So, AB 5 is now officially known as "Chapter 5, Statutes of 2009".
Based on the substantial increase in traffic to my corporate web site this past couple of weeks, I think I'm about to get busy.
